Ladies Outdoor Ministries

Candise completed her first single-season “Grand Slam” (along with her dad and her brother, Jon Paul) and tagged the 8^th heaviest Osceola wild turkey ever registered.  Also in 2004, she received the Tennessee River Longbeards Grand Slam Award. She has had several articles published in various respected outdoors publications, including Turkey Call, Turkey & Turkey Hunting, Women in the Outdoors, Wheelin’ Sportsmen,  and The Christian Sportsman.  She has instructed Tennessee Hunter Education Courses, been featured in outdoor articles of The Commercial Appeal and her local newspaper, and has spoken at various ladies’ outdoors events.  For several years, Candise has been using her hunting accomplishments and knowledge of the outdoors as a platform to deliver encouragement from God’s Word.

As an avid outdoorswoman, Candise has gained the respect of many within the hunting community, and, in 2004, Candise joined with Harvest Outdoor Ministries to begin a Ladies Division of outdoor ministry.

Over the years, the hardwoods and row crop acreage of West Tennessee have provided Candise with big and small game kills with which she has filled her freezer.  Hunting alongside her dad as a child, and then continuing her hunting adventures as an adult, Candise has been able to accomplish some noted feats in the field of hunting.  In 2004, she earned her “spot” in the National Wild Turkey Federation Records.
