It’s Coming Again! — featuring Stormie Omartian
All women and gals (ages 13 and up) are invited to the Rest for the Soul Ladies’ Retreat which will be held October 21-22 at Paris Landing, TN. “Isn’t it so very gracious that Jesus, in Matthew 11, promises ‘rest for our souls?’ Discouragement and fatigue are plaguing so many women,” comments Enough Grace […]
Just a Pep Talk from a ‘Whipper-Snapper’ of a Preacher
I’ll never forget the “ah ha” moment I had with the Lord during one particular Sunday morning worship service. Several years ago, our church was in a transitional period, without a pastor, and various preachers and evangelists would fill the pulpit each week. On this Sunday morning, it was a dear family friend of ours who was providing the message. Joshua Solowey. He was 19 years old at that time, and we had known his family for years. It had been fascinating watching Josh grow up and witnessing all he was allowing the Lord to do in and through his young life.
How to Stay Married – to the Same Person – for Fifty Years
Congratulations, Mom and Dad! FIFTY YEARS of marriage!! Now that’s a loooooong time!!!
I am convinced that we, as Christ-followers, need to celebrate Biblical marriage, especially those unions that have survived for many years. It really is a big deal for a man and woman to reach the celebratory milestones of one anniversary after another. […]
We’re Recruiting: Can We Count On YOU?
Monday night I addressed the REST2016 leadership team. We gathered for what we believe was the “most important meeting” of the year. Stakes were high in Kingdom work as each of us committed to adopting various churches, which we would be contacting and offering a promotional packet for the upcoming Rest for the Soul […]
INTRODUCING RACHAEL

I’m excited to introduce to you The Grace Exchange’s guest blogger, Rachael French! She’s a dandy, and the WDBA is so very blessed to have her onboard as Associational Youth Director. Great opportunities […]
How To Tell The “Old, Old Story” Without Saying A Word
About six months ago, I started meeting with a gal from our church. We try to get together each week for a time of Bible study, accountability, and prayer. Our meetings usually “wrap up” with each of us asking the other for a specific, personal prayer request. Here was my most recent prayer need […]
Never Seen Before! Our Family of Six
Congratulations to the Class of 2016!
This year was a biggie! It seemed like every day at least one high school graduation invitation found its way into our mailbox. At one point, I wondered if I was going to have to take in ironing to cover all of the checks that I wrote and mailed […]
Bible Preaching: Is It a Thing of the Past?
Yesterday I got a promotional packet in the mail from a nationally known Christian publisher. Enclosed was a sample of a new Bible study for students along with a cover letter from the entity’s Director of Students. The first sentence of his letter certainly was a “hook” for me.
“Most of us would struggle if […]
